About our Childcare

Little Lambs is an Early Childcare Ministry. To be a ministry means to 'serve', and we are currently in our 3rd expansion since our opening in 2020 to serve families in our city.

We opened with 20 children, expanded to 49 in 2025, and now we are renovating our facilities in 2026 to serve a capacity of 85 children and their families.

* We serve families with children, Infants 6 weeks old to 5 years of age.

* Our hours are Mon-Fri from 7am to 5:30pm.

* Yes we take State Pay (and Tootris for employees of

Schreiber's).

Functioning more like a preschool, we have a daily teaching and learning curriculum designed to stimulate young minds and prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.

We understand the importance of finding reliable childcare. We have electronically secured doors, security cameras, and practice emergency plans on a regular basis. Our goal is for families in Carthage and the 417 area to feel confident and at ease, knowing their children are in excellent hands, receiving loving care and quality education while parents are at work.

New Construction Beginning!

Starting February 2026, we will be making major remodeling to the building and expanding our classrooms. Along with interior updates, you will see new playground areas going up on the outside as well! We are striving not only to being the best in education of our children, but in giving them the best environment as well. Please be patient as these construction updates will last through the Spring and possibly into Summer as well.

EXTRA Kid's Programs

Throughout the year, we offer extra opportunities for families to do fun and inexpensive activities together! KIDS QUEST offers a monthly themed supper and activity that the whole family can enjoy together. We also have activities like Puppet Making classes; Drawing With Dad class; Bunches & Blooms class with Moms; Pumpkin Painting; Fall Festival; and more! Because we know having young families is challenging today, most activities are very low cost, if not free. We hope you take advantage of such events.
