FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH!

FLC is located in Carthage, Missouri. We exist to connect to Jesus by God's Word, sacraments, and community.  We are a small but very active congregation that is warm, welcoming, and growing.  Whether you are a family with young children or on the other end of the spectrum with snow on your rooftop, there is a place for you in our Church family.  

 

Our Ministry is built on 4 pillars:

Jesus and His Grace is at the center of everything that we do!   Ephesians 2:8-9 "For it is by

grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from

yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can

boast."

Traditional Values - We cherish the rich heritage of our faith

through worship services that feature timeless hymns, meaningful

liturgy, and insightful teachings.  We cherish the Bible.

Family Centered - Our church is a welcoming home for people of

all ages—children, youth, and adults—where everyone is enriched

by love, support, and the warmth of a genuine church family.

Community Focused - We extend God’s love beyond our Church walls by

supporting one another and our community

 

 

Our congregation was founded in the LCMS, but now we are affiliated with the ELS/WELS.  Some Lutheran denominations are Lutheran "in name only" and have become pluralistic in the beliefs, reject clear Scripture, and promote sin.  We, however, are NOT of that branch of Lutherans.  We believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God from Genesis 1 to the Revelation 22:21 and we practice what the Bible teaches.  Yet, we do this in a spirit of love to win souls, not drive them away.  If you would like to learn more about what we believe, our Pastor Dan McQuality would love to speak with you!  Or visit www.ELS.org for more information!

FAQ:

+ "I have small children.  Will people be upset if they are noisy?"  = the worst noise imaginable is a Church Service WITHOUT the noise of children!  We welcome young children and encourage you to include them in Worship!  A Quiet room is available at the back of the Sanctuary  and we do have a Nursery room available.

+ "Does your Church have closed communion?" = Yes.  We celebrate communion on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month. Unless you are already a communicant member of the ELS or WELS we ask that you first go through an instruction class before communing with us.  Communion is important and the Bible says that we can sin against the Lord and bring judgement on ourselves if we do not discern the Lord's body and blood in common.  (See 1 Corinthians 11:23-32 ).  Also, the word "communion" means we share the same beliefs as we share the table of the Lord's Supper.  We explain what these things mean in an Instruction Class.   Please talk with Pastor  if you are interested in taking a Class.

+ "What special groups and activities do you have at Faith?" =  LOTS!  We have activities for kids like Youth Group and Kids Quest ; Marriage workshops, Men and Women activities and more!
